Matt's Mats was started by an enthusiastic person called Matt. He loved sewing, and it was something he learn in high school for home economics. In 1999, Matt found a passion for sewing and knitting, so he decided to do something more! He went on and made his first mat. His first mat was a great big milestone for him, because not only did it give him ideas for a new business, it would also help him earn a living by doing something he truly enjoyed. By 2011, Matt had put together more than 100,000 mats, with the help of a few of his friends, made of course from 100% cotton. Unfortunately, in early 2014, several of his mats got robbed. But that did not stop him; in fact it made him try harder, and a few days later, on February 15, 2014, he created the Matt's Mats business, which is currently a huge success.
